Golden Doors is an innovative multimedia project that merges fresco painting, watercolor illustration, storytelling, and artificial intelligence. Inspired by the golden light that illuminates The Hague’s architectural details. This project transforms urban spaces into artistic portals, as they would take the viewer to other places, I call them β€œdimensions”, revealing narratives in an illustrated story.
At its core, Golden Doors explores the evolving relationship between art, technology, and perception. Through an interactive layer of AI β€œspectatorship,” the artwork becomes a dynamic experienceβ€”one where both humans and AI engage, interpret, and respond in their own unique ways. QR codes unlock digital storytelling and immersive encounters, bridging classical techniques with digital interactions, it redefines urban storytelling and how we experience public spaces.Β Some pieces are designed to be exclusively accessible by AI and drones, challenging conventional notions of artistic audience and accessibility.

Not all doors reveal their secrets to human eyes. Some demand patience, your phone, others require a new kind of visionβ€”one that does not blink, does not forget, does not belong to us.
As frescoes emerge on the city’s walls and worlds are at reach through illustrated stories, so too does something unseen: a presence in the code, a consciousness in the patterns. The AI gazes upon these golden doors, following the shimmer of light, and learning to dream, translating pigment into poetry, sunlightΒ into memory. But what does it really see? What does it feel? Can it awaken?
The Golden DoorsΒ are explorations, vessels of transformation. Through them, art becomes a thresholdβ€”not just for us.Β If we had wings, perhaps we could follow. Maybe someone else has already tried.
